It was prognosticated that in the jungle of Peru the temperature
will reach the 12° C. as a consequence of the extremely cold
weather. According to the declaration of the meteorologist of the
Senamhi (the national service for meteorology) in the regions of
Madre de Dios and Ucayali, the temperature will decrease dramatically
as penalty of the cold spell onto the Peruvian territory. The director
of the Senamhi, Julio Villafuerte also presumed that up to the middle
of July - when the official winter in Peru starts - the temperature
will decrease drastically in these regions. Currently 8 regions
- such as Cusco, Puno, Junin, Huanuco and others - had declared
