Most of the way is not steep and not technical. There is a short
section of around 3 to 4m, which is steep, and we will help you
with this. Previous experience on snow / ice is not necessary, we
will provide instruction and support, but you do need to be strong.
From the summit you are rewarded with magnificent views of the many
surrounding peaks, including the massive Huascarán at 6768m
the highest mountain in Peru.

Cruz Ulta Trek (8 days/7 nights)
Day 1: Rest day in Huaraz to prepare for Pisco climb.
Day 2: Drive from Huaraz to Cebollapampa (2½ hours).
Then our gear is loaded onto the donkeys and we climb on a good

there where you can buy beer, wine and hot food.
Day 3: We climb to Moraine Camp (4900m) crossing over loose
ground and large moraine rocks at times. The donkeys cannot come
this way. You need to carry your personal gear, climbing gear, clothes
and sleeping bag, and help to carry the tents and food would be
appreciated. 3 hours in total of climbing today.
Day 4: Summit Day. We climb 40 minutes on moraine until
we reach the glacier where we put on crampons and rope up. About
5 hours to the summit. There is a short steep section of around
3 to 4m of parrette, which we will help you with. The rest of the
way is not very steep or difficult. From the summit fantastic views
of the close by peaks of Huascarán (6768m), Chopicalqui (6354m),

to Huaraz.
NOTE: The routes used and the conditions on all the peaks
are changing each year and even each month. The descriptions we
have given are general only, and the routes used, conditions on
