Option A: 3 days / 2 nights in the rainforest

Programme:
During your stay, you will be guest at the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge. You can find the comfortable lodge in the community of the Yanamono tribe, about 80 kilometers from Iquitos and located directly at the shores of the Amazon river. You will have excursions by foot into the rainforest or by boot and canoe on the Amazon river and to the surrounding watercourses. On your boat trips, you can spot pink river dolphins and at the same time listen to the melody of the bird variety. While you will be passing water lilies, your trip will take you to the next fishing place. Visit a tribe of indigenes that invite you to its traditional drink „7 Raices“. The liqueur is made of seven typical rainforest plants. By canoe, you will realize an excursion by night on the Amazon river and gaze at nocturnal animals. You continue your night trip with a hike to get in touch with the nightly rainforest life.

In Option B, you will use the fourth day for a visit of a small village on the shore of the river. You will have the possibility to make yourself a picture of the original way of life and daily grind of the rainforest inhabitants.

All necessary transfers on the river and on land are included, also breakfast, lunch and dinner in the lodge.

Programme:
You will spend your first night the rainforest in the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge. In Option B, you will spend your first night in Iquitos in a carefully chosen hotel and stay the two following days at the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge while enjoying the excursions to the rainforest.

3 days / 2 nights in the rainforest

Programme:
During your stay, you will be guest in the Zungarococha Amazon Lodge which is located about 15 kilometers from Iquitos and near the Allpahuayo Mishana reserve. The lodge consists of 15 independent bungalows and is the ideal place of departure for excursions into the rainforest. You can choose trips by night or by day and by foot or by boat to the place where the Nanay river flows into the Amazon river. You will visit the butterfly farm Pilpintuhuasi and watch colorful varieties of the beautiful air-dancers. Furthermore, you can enjoy your day at the Quistococha lagoon with bathing possibility and visit the zoo with different local animals. In addition, you can attend a trip to a small village with indigene people. You will have the possibility to make yourself a picture of the original way of life and daily grind of the rainforest inhabitants.

You will spend your first night in Iquitos, Venice of the rainforest, in a chosen hotel. After your breakfast you will launch your jungle experience. The next night, you will be guest in the Zungarococha Amazon Lodge which is located about 15 kilometers from Iquitos and near the Allpahuayo Mishana reserve.
