Peru has a unique diversity of natural and cultural treasures of which many are still totally unknown to the foreign tourist. Here the multimedia disc Pachamama will help which has been produced by two enthusiastic Peru-travellers. Intention of the CD-Rom, published in 5 languages (German, Spanish, French, English and Italian), is to arouse the curiosity for Peru and to motivate all interested parties to a journey in this fascinating country.

On the CD-Rom PACHAMAMA vol.1 you get to know the landscapes, history, folklore and many more from popular and less popular destinations in a fancy way during the virtual journey. The first edition consists of six journeys to the departments of Cusco, Apurimac, Puno, Arequipa, Lima and Amazonas. The specific feature of this CD-Rom is the selection of the different means of getting to know Peru: detailed maps allow the exact positioning, a dia-show with background music gives visual impressions to each destination, commented guided tours explain backgrounds, interviews with experts and locals bring personal experiences to you, and finally the thematic search option and a comprehensive encyclopaedia allow a detailed information investigation.

For the deepening of the knowledge, PACHAMAMA also offers a comprehensive bibliography concerning Peruvian literature, history books, travel guides, internet pages etc.
